Our initial effort is to make the region, the province, the country and the world more aware of this great resource known as The Trent Severn Waterway. We have failed, to this point, in convincing various levels of chambers, tourism agencies, government and bureaucracy to partner in this project by simply allowing us to use tourism resources, to help introduce tourists, already paid for through membership or tax dollars. We partnered successfully in the 1990's with the Peterborough Public Library to bring the Internet to thousands who otherwise wouldn't have enjoyed that journey early on. Territorial thinking requires a warm office, a secure pay cheque, the status quo and a tall tale. Change is driven by participation, a positive attitude and an imagination - dare to challenge, dare to try and dare to dream then you may be surprised at what you can accomplish.
